Its been a long year, its had its ups and its down.
The most tiring part of the year definitely has to be my most recent assignment, our Group Summer Project. There were many times where I found myself doing everything in the project, going far beyond my expected role as project leader.
I am going to review my course over the summer.
I bid Yr 1 fare well.

General Rant
This is a general rant about how disappointed I am with the way my course has gone from great to grueling. When we first started the course I thought we would be at uni nearly everyday, some of my friends are in Uni 5 days a week for over 5 hours a day.
And now with this summer project, technically I now don't have a bloody lesson for the next 5 weeks! as we are expected to do it all on our own. Hey don't get me wrong, I like independence but this is a joke. Why can't we have the Summer project and have lessons to further our skills in script writing. Makes me question where is my money going?
I am officially unhappy with the course.

Thanks to Tristian Tull
This is a thankyou to Tristian Tull who hastily solved a great dilema for me. When I needed a camera to transfer my Groups 6 minute non-dialogue piece on to a computer, Tristian was the only person to step in and help.
Many Thanks

2 Months Have Passed....
Well we are well in to a new year now, nearly 2 months have passed since my last update.
I am coming to the end of my second script writing assignment. I have about 5 days until I hand it in. So I think I should finish it quite comfortably. Oh and I need to start and finish a 2000 word essay on it and hand that in to. But when have I ever missed a deadline?
I am still very happy with my course, but after speaking to quite a few fellow colleagues, I have to agree that I really wish there were more to it. More time spent in lectures, or classrooms, really knuckling down and learning the bold techniques that will transform me from a good to a great writer. Unfortunately just 2 days a week isn't that stimulating for me at present.
I shall keep you updated on my thoughts...

1st Term of University Evaluation
Having already a sister that's passed through the University route of life, I had a fair inkling of what to expect from Uni life. Having been out of education for 2 years though, there was still a steep learning curve.
Initially I settled very well in my university accommodation and thought university for me would be a breeze. 2 weeks later when it come to actually enrolling and starting on my course, thats when the worries started to build as I felt a little lost. No matter how much support and guidance the Uni can offer you, you are at the end of the day, exploring in to unknown territory and are allowed to feel a certain ammount of un ease. With that in mind, I tried to stay very open minded and take things in my stride.
Immediately I knew I was on the right course for me. After just the first week of lectures and tutorials, the teachers, speakers and lecturers were all very professional, friendly and most of all... knew their stuf!
Since then, I have sat in class like a sponge; absorbing every little bit of information I can and asking question after question after question. The only time I feel I am being taught information that isn't entirely relevant to my course, is on a Monday morning lecture; but maybe this will change with time.
I bid thee Fairwell
Bond.
